service inconsistencies and minor disappointments
slow service subpar gym
the hotel boasts fine views of the mountains and ocean, which i found quite pleasant.
The service, however, was sporadic. The leopard bar was particularly slow, and it took ages for drinks to arrive. i also found the decision to host a party with loud kenny rogers covers near the pool quite odd, especially since it disrupted the peace. the gym also felt subpar for a hotel of this supposed caliber.

a romantic escape
seamless pick-up friendly staff high end restaurant
the pick-up from the airport was seamless. the staff proved friendly. i found every meal i ate there great, from the high end restaurant to the breakfasts.

a balanced experience
professional transfers friendly drivers long wait multiple requests
the transfers were professional with vehicles well maintained. drivers were friendly. breakfast in the mornings was well orchestrated. one staff member's service skills really stood out (nolundi was a charm!).
i had to wait for about 15 minutes before someone took my order at the bar. a bottle of water had to be requested three times. there was also a dispute over the beer size i ordered.

separate sinks rainfall shower hiking trail
My beautiful king room had two separate sinks and a rainfall shower (very convenient). the hotel offers a shuttle service to camps bay and the waterfront. i also appreciated the hiking trail right next to the hotel. It made for an easy and beautiful walk.
the gym is not very big for a hotel of this category.

Underwhelming stay. Inconsistent service
slow service poor gym
the location was good.
I had issues with service in the leopard bar. It took a very long time for drinks to arrive. a party with a singer doing cover songs was held next to the pool. It disturbed the peace. the gym was not up to the expected quality either.
